1971 – Roy Foreman Qualifies as a Solicitor.

Having studied for his degree at Nottingham University thereafter being articles to the firm of William Bains in Brigg Roy developed and perfected his legal practice. Dealing with all aspects of law but with an emphasis towards advocacy Roy established himself as a bright and competent advocate.

1976 – Roy Foreman leaves William Bains in order to set up his Roy Foreman & Co Solicitors.

 

Building on his exceeding reputation Roy took the decision to make a name for himself independently. Taking on a further two partners the first iteration of Roy Foreman & Co opened its doors on 4th October 1976 flourishing as a general practice.

A parting of ways for partners sees Roy Foreman & Co move to Great Grimsby. From now on the firm will focus exclusively on Criminal Legal Aid work.

In the years since the move the practice has become a well-established and respected Criminal Legal Aid firm. The practice has been and continues to be involved in high-profile cases both locally and nationally. Dealing with complex murder, fraud and drugs cases the practice is seen for many as the go-to name for legal representation for all criminal representation in Great Grimsby and beyond.

1976 - 2011 – The practice emerges and develops, earning its name as the go to Criminal Law practice in North East Lincolnshire

The practice takes on multiple solicitors, apprentices and paralegals following its inception shaping and encouraging some of the brightest legal minds in North East Lincolnshire. Roy Foreman has developed specialist knowledge in traffic cases including acting as an agent for many years in the past for the Road Haulage Association. His advice and appearance at court is regularly sought on traffic cases.

2011 – We've moved

The old Royal Oak Public House is now Royal Oak Chambers home to Roy Foreman & Co.

The practice takes an important step in moving to a new building, closer to the Magistrates Court and to both Victoria Street Police Station and the new Birchin way Custody Facility.

Gary Bulbeck qualifies as a Chartered Legal Executive.

Since Qualifying Gary has been instructed on a wide range of criminal cases. Building an expertise in Fraud and Money Laundering he has appeared in cases which have garnered national media attention.

2013 – Rebecca Perrin joins the firm

Having already established herself as a competent advocate Rebecca joins the practice bringing vital experience in serious cases involving violent and sexual offences.

2017 – Gary Bulbeck and Rebecca Perrin become partners in the firm.

2020 – Approaching 50 years in practice Roy Foreman continues to take active participation as a partner in the practice.

All of our solicitors have developed their own areas of expertise and are available for instruction on all Criminal cases.

2021 – Roy Foreman has retired from the partnership but continues to take an active role within the firm. He continues to be present at court and the police station to represent you.
